Start/Finish at Access Gate on Gilroyd Lane (SK223990), CP 1 Pike Lowe cairn (SK209973), Finish at start (SK223990). Crow flies route on map. Please note new start/access point. Parking for half a dozen or so vehicles across road immediately to west of start gate – please can early arrivals park tight. For later arrivals, there are further parking options a few hundred metres east, and west, of start point.
Main start at 18:30; whippets’ start 18:45; special dispensations to set out earlier for the over 70s.
Map, compass and mobile phone are compulsory. It is recommended that you also carry full FRA kit. No dogs please (several routes cross areas with ground-nesting birds).
