The races are run under FRA licence. The routes are relatively straightforward, however contain sections of challenging rocky terrain, tricky stream crossings and steep descents. There is significant height gain between the race start in Edale and Kinder Edge. Runners must be confident of their ability to navigate and complete the route safely. Please read FRA’s “requirements for runners” found on the FRA website (https://www.fellrunner.org.uk/articles/documents).

Kit

If the weather is fine, there will be no mandatory kit requirement. All runners should be prepared for the requirement to bring FRA Best Practice kit (waterproof whole body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food) if the weather is bad. A decision will be made on the morning of the race and kit requirements displayed at registration.
