  • Race is run under FRA licence. The route is relatively straightforward, however it contains sections of challenging rocky terrain, one tricky stream crossing and steep descents. There is significant height gain between the race start in Edale and Kinder Edge. Runners must be confident of their ability to navigate and complete the route safely. Please read FRA’s “requirements for runners” found on the FRA website (https://www.fellrunner.org.uk/articles/documents). It is advised to carry/wear FRA best practice kit: waterproof whole body cover (taped seams and attached hood), hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle + emergency food.

Juniors:

  • Two race categories U13s (over 8) and U17s (age at following 31st Dec) starting at 10.15 a.m.
  • £3. Race start location same as for Senior race.
  • Route will be a 1km loop within the starting field. U13s will complete one loop, U17s will complete two loops.
