Tom Saville, the senior men’s captain cut his morning run short to coach the O11s group. They did a session that included some fart leks and then some structured pacing work – fast/slow & up, flat and down, with some vegetation thrown in for good measure. It sounded like a good session and one that we agreed to repeat in the near future.
I led the U11s group with some adventures, rocks and games, complete with some guests from Tring.
The groups were fairly depleted today. Probably down the the combination of yesterday’s champs racing and regional orienteering.
Thanks Tom. We really appreciate you turning out to coach and inspire the younger generation.

Bank Holiday Monday was Coiners Juniors a race in the hot bed of junior racing in the Calder Valley.

English Junior Fell championships racing in the heart of the Lake District.

BG weekend
A large chunk of the club will be in the lakes for the BG, so getting leaders will be a challenge. It’s a great camping weekend. So if there are enough kids up there, we’ll organise something in and around Thornthwaite.
Wild camp
The Wild Camp still needs an organiser. we can change the date to suit an organisers preferences.
