Start/Finish gateway to Mortimer Road, beside plantation. Follow vehicle track anti-clockwise to shooting lodge and one km beyond; at head of Rushy Dike (SK224950) leave track and bash east-south-east on compass bearing parallel to dike as far as Dukes Road. Left along Dukes Road for one km, leaving track left by cairn at SK237948 on bearing north-north-east to grouse butts parallel to Black Brook. Left at track beside Mortimer Road to return to start/finish. Full route on map.
Starts from 18:00 for slower runners, to 18:30 for the whippets. Over 70s are welcome to race at any time on the day.
Please carry full FRA kit as a minimum, as well as a head torch and mobile phone in case of emergency and/or torch battery failure.
