For all you folk hankering after some winter interval training in Dave T’s absence, why not get yourselves along to this week’s Winter Mondays race from Fairholmes for a proper workout – the marvellous Orrell Crook? We’ve had nineteen starters over the first four races, in pretty much every age category, but we’re still awaiting our first female entrant. The RO has added additional detail to the race description, to aid the true novice, and as a partial out and back race this week no-one should feel lonely for long. More to the point, noting that the idea is for us all to converge upon the finish at roughly the same time, the RO will be seeking, at least, to curb the first half of the field’s enthusiasm by asking that the start times are staggered, broadly in line with the first few set of results. To wit: from 6pm, Willy, Darren, Tom W and Mike; 6.05pm, Russ and Kev; 6.10pm, Kerry Martyn, Jack and Paul; 6.15pm, George, Simon, Arthur and James; and 6.20pm or later, Tom S. Hope to see you there. Willy.
