244 startersThis is a good race on the Howgill Fells with much of it on
grassy slopes and odd bits of route choice. You can think, \"I ran
along that path\", as you drive up the M6 on the way to Penrith.
The results have split times at all except the first
checkpoint so that you can work out who died when (Charlie Adams
went from 28th to 50th in the last 50 minutes). I had a steady
race but as usual I\'m slow on the flatter bits. Stella Wright and
Sue Parkin (1st and 2nd women) went past me so fast that Ann and
Tony, out spectating, thought I was on my last legs.
