The September 7 Hill Climb Series is HERE…
If lung bursting hills are your thing then during the month of September you can work your way though seven of the Hope Valley’s iconic ascents. These carefully selected challenges are on a range of terrain and gradient but all had to contain at least 200m of climb and have an average gradient of more than 10%. Each one is listed in the calendar as a separate event but the idea is that you have a go at all seven. The notorious, mutant, Paxman algorithm will be used to allow us oldies to compete on a (not so) level playing field as the youth. These events are also ideal for the younger members of the club as they range in distance from 1-2km. I’ll post results regularly and look at awarding some appropriate prizes. They are in reasonably close proximity meaning you could do them all in one or two outing as part of a long run. Good luck everyone.
