A series of races within the race this week - excepting Simon M, who took the rest of us to the cleaners in the nicest possible way.  So nice, in fact, that there was a full house of bonuses, barring Sarah, a welcome new entrant (bringing this year’s count to forty).  Tim Ra just about held off a rampant Tom W (and denies pinching any of his lines); Richard chose a series of innovative new lines, some of which possibly worked, and more of which certainly did not (to the series organiser’s barely concealed delight); Eloise also made things a little more tricky for herself than was necessary, before showing a clean pair of heels to Penny, Sarah and Tim H; with the latter worselling Penny and Sarah by dint of an Amazonian line through the thickets on the final descent.  Whether P and S noticed is a matter of some debate, however, so good (allegedly) was the quality of their conversation on the way around.

All of which has resulted in limited change in the league standings; and please note the direction of travel, and ever so slightly tweaked (anvil stone) first check point, for next week’s inaugural running of Orrell’s Bleak Doctor - a more runnable route than any of us had initially imagined.
