Export resultSwarms of DPFR runners descended upon hathersage for this late entered race for the new years day. It was a day of relative warmth for the time of year but a chilly wind meant gloves were needed.
I had made the contraversial decision to invite some fatboys, much to their mirth. We did get one non dark peaker attending, well done Simon for crossing the divide.
Oli the firm favourite led the charge early, but Tim made use of some speed booster mushrooms he found in the woods (plus a little local knowledge) to get ahead briefly by the pond. This lead was short lived but there was some further tussling ahead, Oli however, maintain his lead and came in a handful of seconds ahead. There was a fair bit lot of route choice it would seem which made for some interesting variations.
What happened behind is hard to say but everyone returned back ok and claimed to have had a nice time. Hopefully not just being polite. Maybe next year there will be soup.
