Confusion -15 April 2026
The Serious Warts had decided that this week’s venue was to be Strines at 5pm but, in the meantime, we were told that DPFR were reviving the Way Out West race as part of the Read more
Whilst Harry took his second victory of the series, exacting revenge on James in the process, it was a tale of two walkabouts for Messrs Yates and Holmes. George, having returned all the way from whence he had originally come (via Lockerbrook Farm), remained surprisingly chipper about his outing - and still managed to beat the RO. Keith, on the other hand, was somewhat less sanguine. The RO strongly suspects he had done a complete 360 degree circuit of the first lump of Crook Hill, but none of us dared confirm the full story, such was the violence of Keith’s cussin’ at the finish. Meanwhile, Paul Elliott made his first Winter Mondays appearance in eighteen months, bring the total number of competitors this year to twenty, whilst Martyn extended his lead at the top of the league standings with another bonus winning performance.
Next week, it’s the eminently runnable Cutthroat Trail. Surely close enough to town to tempt a few more novices?
