18 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueA good turnout for a class race on a superb running day, after the confusion over which day the race was on had been sorted out. Apparently it always used to be on a Saturday…. Cold, clear and still with a bit of fine snow at times. The superb descent down to Roych Clough delivered as always, with plenty of different lines over and down to the bottom of Chapel Gate. The biggest battle was getting through the hordes to the trig point on Mam Tor. A good early season reminder of what fell races feel like!
A very fine showing of veterans (90% of the field in fact), with Mick Cochrane putting in another great run for the V75s.
Tom Brunt in fine form again held off Rob Greenwood for the win.
