Odin Mine Race on Sat 11th Jun 2022
7 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueThis was the first running of the extended Odin Mine race route and it did not disappoint. Only seven runners set off to tackle the A* category fell race with 600+ metres of ascent in less than 5km. The weather turned out to be quite kind and no one was blown away by the forecast 40mph winds!
Josh Williams was first home after I ran half way round and got cramp climbing the knoll. It was a good battle while it lasted.
On my jog back it was a spectacle to watch runners both ascending one side of the landslip whilst others descended the other side.
Everyone seemed happy with their top ten finish and subsequent prize.
All in all a great race with championship potential but more runners required next time please!
