Despite the great weather and good advertising by James P, only 8 people turned up for this classic DP race run almost every year since the mid 80s. The weather was cool with a slight breeze which made for great racing weather and no midges!
The field of 8 split into 4 groups – Jack and James at the front, Tim on his own, followed by a group of 4 with Jim bring up the rear and keeping us from more time in the pub. Speaking of which, given all of us were Sheffield base we descended in the Fulwood Ale House and had the place to ourselves to enjoy some different real Ales to the usual you might find in Sheffield.
Oh, as for the racing, no records were broken and nobody got any near them.
