A good turn out for a Wednesday evening race. In light of recent weather conditions it was actually quite a nice night with just some strong winds and no precipitation. Under foot wasn't too bad either but the area around Wyming Brook Knoll was still as rough as ever!
A classic Landmarks start saw people dart off, in seemingly random directions, from the club hut to their chosen first checkpoint. There was much confusion from runners trying to find the knoll but most got to it in the end and everyone returned safe having explored some lesser visited parts of the valley. Special mention to Laurie who managed to run about 10 miles but still never saw the Head Stone. Though he did find the knoll without any issues, he also managed to visit the clocktower twice on his nighttime escapade with a black and white map.
Thanks for running,
Tom
(It's a poor man that can't win his own race!)
