Burbage Skyline TT Men on Sun 14th Jun 2020

23 starters, DP 2020 TT League - Men

The turn out was not as large as had been expected for this race. Maybe that was due to the huge range of opportunities on offer this week and next, with the long Upper Derwent Stone, the short classic Crookstone Crash out and then the Summer Solstice 42 fast approaching.

A few people had challenges with the route, not least Lewis, the RO! most people's challenges were about running between the right parts of the valley. Mr Paxman, notably, had at least two bites of the cherry! A few others were challenged by the overall direction of the route. The instructions were there, albeit a bit buried in the plethora of race information provided. Suffice it to say, the race covers the area in the opposite direction to the old Burbage race. Very sensibly giving the field (in normal years) the oppertunity to thin out on the green mile before hitting the rougher and narrower trods.
