Margery Hill

There were 6 starts ! for this race, which planned not to go to Margery Hill, as opposed to the several times that the weather led to a shortened race. Despite rumblings about the change of route, after the event it received good press.

Due to a clash with the first aid training both Tom W and Tom S posted pre race times, the former the day before which accounts for a much slower time and Tom S made an excuse ! that he had used a torch for the run, setting off at 6-30 am, great committment from those 2 to the race and the training.

As for the race Simon Mills once again excelled pushing Tom B all the way, with Rich Hunt close by. Dave did a solo run, starting well behind everyone and recording a very respectable solo time.

With the severe wind it was very hard coming back and all starters made the finish line. Although there was talk of a short course, the times suggest it was only about 20 minutes quicker.

Well done all a grand outing, and especially to those who did the night race a few days ago.

Next year, we shall see it could be the recent Margery or a slight tweak of today's route.
