7 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueA small field turned out for this club race, published at short notice following the cancellation of the Grindsbrook Circle open race (due to permissions problems). Ian was keen to have some runners to check the viability of the route for future oppertunities.
The feeling amongst the finishers was that it was a great course. It had a balance of hard climbing, rough ground, fast running and route choice, that ought to make it a classic and should be run as an open race if at all possible. Not that the race organiser felt the urge to stick around to find out. He was long gone before the first finisher returned. None the less, "thank you Ian for your hard work."
