Export resultLoxley Lunge on Sat 8th Sep 2018
19 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueA phenomenal performance from young Tom, blasting well over a minute off the course record that Neil set two years ago. Especially impressive when you consider he’d done a long run in the morning, and then jogged round the Lunge course with his mum before sprinting breakneck into the record books. Great to see Neil recovering from his recent op by having a steady jog round, although one has to ask whether any sane physiotherapist would sanction the Lunge as recuperative therapy. Congratulations to Jo and Steve, first husband and wife. Also to John Gunnee for being the inaugural recipient of the new Nags Head trophy, (locals will understand the missing apostrophe). Navigational mystery 1: how did Stewart Kemp manage to detour via the Robin Hood after pruning every inch of the course the previous day. Navigational mystery 2: where did George Yates get to, and was he too ashamed to post his time on the garage door?
Battle for the Loxley Valley Rough Running Series will recommence at Dungworth on Saturday, October 6th.
