25 starters, Dark Peak Races LeagueGood weather for a change made this years running of the race, somewhat easier than other years. Clear blue skies meant that navigation errors could not be blamed on poor visibility but only due to incompetence or poor route choice. The frozen north path was better than the frequently encountered muddy trod. Snow and ice in the groughs were a bit treacherous and the freaky 50mph plus cross wind on the path above the Crowden river to the Knoll was like something out of the Arctic!
