First lesson of the new year learned. If you want to win your own race make sure you recce it beforehand. After trying out the 2007 version I decided to change the controls to add some route choice yet failed to check it out myself meaning I was making it up on the day. Despite this all was going well until I ran into to some undergrowth on the way down from the final control only to emerge onto the main Haywood track 10s down on Dave. Oh well. Others faired better with route choice particularly Andy and Jim who seemed to have discussed the route with the white edge deer in advance. Almost a full set of Barnetts and two Nolans boosted the field and all seemed to enjoy the route choice and post race soup. MN
