It's the first time I've run this race & the conditions were pretty dire. It was wet & windy with low cloud so no view of the route. The climb up to the Nick was hard going as the ground saturated & soft with the river crossing been a bit tricky (if it is actually a river ) on the top the clag was so thick all I could do was to stay with Mr Fishwick as I knew he would know where to go. He said it was the worst conditions he'd run it in. Took a tumble into a rocky puddle & when I got out into the wind I was seriously cold, I was happy to get off the top but it was a long slog back to the finish.
