13 starters, 40@40 LeagueA sprinkling of snow shimmered in the sunshine on a glorious spring morning, adding to the splendour of what is becoming a classic club race. Thanks to Gavin for devising such a challenging and fun route, enjoyed this year by 13 runners.
At the front end of the race Ralph, Josh and Dave set the early pace but split after Mam Nick with Josh and Dave opting to contour around Lord's Seat, allowing Ralph to set up an unassailable lead, romping home in a record time of 1hr 32min 22sec. Special mention for Dave, who had also completed The Teenager race the previous day. After a nervous wait, the stand-in RO was relieved to see Eoin staggering over the horizon after taking an extended tour West of Roych Clough.
