What a glorious evening! The air (possibly Arctic) was clear and the views were extensive; it was claimed that even Pendle Hill could be seen. Of course, that was not our only impressive sight. Closer Read more
A high quality early season field saw Tom Brunt 8th and 3rd vet, good runs (the second of the day in Dave's case) from Dave L and Ralph S, and a first significant victory for Rose P over her old fella. Fine views from the Nick as promised, but less of a horseshoe route than I'd anticipated, and a little more track too. Certainly worth the trip up nonetheless, and a first Carshare league team prize for Ian Winterburn, with Adi Davis, Rose and Jim Paxman. Good also to catch up with (and beat) Wil Spain, who appears still to be enjoying married life a bit too much for his overall fitness levels.
