The bogtrot was a great success this year with a record entry of 51 in spite of the bad forecast and unbelievable ground conditions. I have been very generous this year and given everyone who arrived at the finish in recognisable form a time even if they did not clip all the controls. Some entrants cheated and chose to swim down the river getting their control cards wet. I will be looking for a higher standard of behaviour next year. Well done to Tom Saville who won on his 21st birthday mainly by committing all of the above transgressions. Welcome back to Maggie Lewis who got extra value by coming in joint last with Mick Poulter. On the short course Ken Jones proved that he knew where his own cairn was by getting there first and decorating it with Christmas tinsel and baubles. Well done to him and the Patton/Rimmer team.
A very good post race soiree was held and thanks to Marilyn for all the work that went into that.
