18 of Dark peaks finest navigators entered the Three Tops, with two starts and various route options the field soon split up, At this point the mist was still quite thick but during the second half the skies cleared allowing some of the racers to relocate themselves. Underfoot the ground was wet…very wet, Many runners came back with tales of clawing their way out of waist deep boggy pools but the best two were Keith stuck to the point that Jim Bell needed to pull him out and Simon and myself spotting a something emerging from the home of the Bogmonster on Bull clough, it soon became apparent it was Dave Lund who had to Swim out of a neck deep bog, A little shaken he joined us on the run to Margery hill. Had he run without the dip the course record would have gone. Fiona Fulwood was first lady There were one or two wanderers but all arrived at the finish (Mostly) with smiles on their faces.
