Sleet and snow whipped into our eyes, making the descent towards the Abbey Brook path testing, however the escapade had not yet begun. By the top of the Cogman Clough area the snow had settled, wet and very cold on the toes. Some of the leading runners took off towards Bamford house leaving Ian to catch them. The myriad of paths confused several other runners but probably was a good 5 minutes faster, if found correctly, than the trio at the back who gamely stuck on 190 degrees across the bogs and tussocks. Although 22 were called out, later examination of the check in and results revealed 23 competitors. Ashley did not have a number!
Rob Cole, Sarah Broadhurst and Maurice Musson returned from c.p 2. Well done to all - the two night races have required good use of map and compass.
