Just four intrepid Dark Peakers made the journey to hayfield for the Mount Famine race. Weather was fairly cool with drizzle and apparently some hail on the tops. Luckily it was over fairly quick! Great runs from David and Gavin at the front of the field, 10th and 13th respectively, though I’m afraid I let the side down somewhat as third counter for the team and we missed out by, I’m guessing, a long margin! Kate also had a good run, making up quite a few places on the final long run in to the finish. All in all a great short race and well worth the trip over.
