Fairholmes 'Long Cakes' Night Race on Wed 14th Nov 2012

It was a dark night-and although the cakes were missed out--rest assured they will be returning for the 12/12 promotion-from Strines.
A rejuvenated Chairman led the early starters and Neil shot round in a quick 65 mins to lead the chase. Looking back from the top of Far deep clough it was a grand sight to see the 7 pm starters in full cry.

All seemed fine at 8.30 as Lucy and Ben brought up the rear but 3 empty cars suggested someone was still out and the pub was delayed until Kirsty and Tim came in--alas still another car. Tim gamely drove round to the waterboard ho but still no runner, eventually a cheerful Stuart emerged-clearly the late start and a hillside denuded of Lakeland fell paths delayed his appearance.

Please go in pairs/groups and an early start if your not an established Wart racer.
