Cloud 9 on Sun 4th Mar 2012

The drive over the Cat 'n' Fiddle road through beautiful snow covered countryside and several inches of snow on the road, meant that the conditions were going to be a bit tougher than we've enjoyed for the last couple of years. A complete breakdown in our Carshare abilities also meant there were several hasty 'I didn't know you were comings' on the Start Line. The race was as enjoyable as ever, very heavy going through fields up to the aptly named 'Cloud' which was shrouded in it,  denying Mandy the views of Joddrell Bank that she apparently enjoyed last year. A fabulous sprint off the Cloud through the 'Pink Farm/Mine' - (heaven knows what they mine there but its bright pink) and it was back to a calf pulling blast interspersed with country lanes back to the finish. Soup, toll & showers followed by our customary visit to the Beartown Brewery Tap completed a very enjoyable day out.
