Riber run on Wed 22nd Jun 2011
117 starters, Local LeagueThe Riber run was a nice event from Lea Green last night. Trev Milner organised the event, 5 miles with 1000ft climb through the woods, tracks and across the fields around Riber for 117 starters. One of the faster runners kicked a wasps nest in the woods so the disturbed occupants stung most of the remaining field which gave SJAB something to do afterwards. The first 5 runners missed a turn which may have helped Mick Stenton into 3rd place. A nice event, usually followed by a BBQ, but shelved due to the weather so everyone went into the pub instead.
