I was in the lakes on Wednesday so took part in the Keswick Mountain festival's Latrigg race, a true short sharp fierce fell race climbing straight up Latrigg followed by a whirlwind descent back to the Park
3 miles 950 ft, Not unlike A Crashout Direct, I was the only official Brown vest there but did have a good chat with Phil Winskill (KAC) who apparently has taken up Road running having won a 10k the night before.
Ricky Lightfoot won in one of the fastest times of the recent era in 17.57 followed by Chris Steel 18.09 and Phil Winskill 19.23
Ricky was still just under 2 minutes off Kenny Stuarts record who was on hand to give out the prizes
