A heavy duty south-westerly made the journey out to Slippery Stones tough going, though the chasing wind back up Howden Clough meant there was no rest for the weary on the return leg.  A particularly stiff cross-wind on sections of the descent down Cut Gate caught one or two of us unawares ... but nothing Messrs. Morgan and Spinks couldn't master, taking 1st MV40 and 1st F respectively.  DP also claimed the team prize (Jon M, Mark T and Shaun D) ... and we all enjoyed a magnificent spread of sandwiches, cakes, pork pie, soup et al. at the finish.
