Annual running of this fiddly route that encompasses a variety of terrain, veering from the very urban (e.g. underpass under the M1!) to the bucolic (e.g. lots of woodland, arable land & Roche Abbey).
My first attempt at this local classic and happy with a 12th place overall although kicking myself for the **slight** navigational hiccup (ahem) that threw any chance of a sub 8 hour finish out of the window despite putting a spurt on over the last 2K.
Nice to get some encouragement from DPers en route (and to get snapped in the process) and thanks to Martin Bullock for hanging around for me to arrive at Cp6 and then accompanying me on the last two stages with his fresh legs.
