The evening was a balmy one, with barely a breath of wind ,and more sweat than bogs--unless you hugged the traverse of far deep clough.the first group of 14, in combinations of solo/pairs/trios set off 10 mins ahead of the chase. However as many couldn't find their way out of the starting pen, it didn't take Neil long to run them down.

Once on the open hills there was plenty of route choice to Cogman cabin, on to the Cakes, and obviously to the wood corner. Great to see lights going off in all directions---worth a second go, at least.

Great run from young Tim, fresh from the omm,with a goodly number of others who saw tonight's off path escapades as pleasant after mid-Wales.

Several partnerships were created on the start line, and some separated out on Poynton
Bog, but the format seemed to work well ,likely to be repeated on other Warts races.
