278 startersNow billed as 15 miles and 3700' (AL) but actually slightly longer and with a bit less climb (BL), this race has changed over the years. It is now a straight 'out and back' route and with 2 92 starters and a carefully marked course there is little room for creative route choice. Still, it takes in some varied and beautiful country and, with good running conditions, I found it well worth the journey. Another change is in the standing of Dark Peak: once we were dominant, now only Jon Cant made it into the top twenty (or even top hundred).Peter Kohn
