205 startersA new event sponsored and organised by Wilderness Ways (Chesterfield) in the form of Andrew Ward who later went on to win several local races. A good course took the large field to Mother Cap, Over Owler Tor, Higger Tor and Burbage Edge. The only grumbles were about the narrow first mile which I believe is to be modfied before next year's race.
We may not have won the race but Dark Peak runners took many of the prizes. Graham Berry not only was 1st V45 but beat all the V40s and Jacky was first lady as well as first LV35. Bram Sprakes completed the sweep of category prizes with 1st V50.
