38 startersA record turnout of 38 runners braved the soft to heavy conditions on the annual Colin Hughes Memorial (but he got better) Wart’s Revenge 2008. A top class field competed for the contents of the Sponsor\'s stock cupboard of light bulbs and other electrical objet d\'art. As most of the Prize-winners had changed and gone home to avoid exposure waiting for the Sponsor to finish, prizes were distributed amongst the also rans in the Sportsman as follows:

100 Watt lamp, most bald person Ashley
60 Watt lamp, Roy for being there
Tape (video not insulating) to 1st parent Rich Bradbury
40 Watt lamp, Dave Holmes 1st V50 & there
Electrical oddity, Steve Martin, best beard
Long Life, low energy lamp, Mick Cock Ran
Selection of fuses to replace in obviously non-working leg muscles, Moz.
