67 startersI decided to really take a chance this year and run two races
without the reassuring view of Whin Hill in the distance.
The Brecon Beacons race starts with a climb which goes on
steadily for 3 miles, on this occasion in sideways driving rain.
The race progressed in low cloud until it cleared whilst Tim
Mackey and and I were on Fany Big (!) at which point a sheer drop
appeared two feet to the right of the path causing Tim to make a
comment not unlike \"Clucking Bell\".
The race was in excellent country with good support during
and after the race. It was also good to meet Rick Ansel1 who must
be a good runner because he passed me twice!
