Andrew Ward of Clown got off to a good start and held on to it despite Al Wards determined efforts to catch him. Janet McIver likewise dominated the ladies race. I have rarely seen so many happy but muddy runners coming into the finish. The fast downhill and soft field of the finish gave a good bit of action at the finish line and the free bath was well used.
Everyone seemed to like the race and general comments were that it was much more of a fell race than many of the other local runs though it was a pity about all the gates on the ascent of Loose Hill. It looks promising for another run next year.

Some you Win - Some you Lose on Sun 27th Apr 2008
87 starters, Local LeagueAfter many years as purely a club run the first official running of the Some you Win.. Some you Loose looked like getting of to a damp start. The car parking field looked like a disaster in the making and was quickly abandoned and messages sent to try to keep as many cars as possible back towards Hope.
