54 startersA fantastic out and back race set in a peaceful valley east of a line between Sedbergh and Kirkby Lonsdale. The race starts with an immediate, unforgiving climb which eventually eases to quick runable ground along the top to the checkpoint at Castle Knott. Turn around here and head back, take a deep breath at the top of the steep descent and go for it (300m in a little over 700m!) The trick at the finish is not to end up in the river which is only 3m away.
