23 startershe best result must be Tom Saville, who is only 12 and looks like a star in the making.

The top few took the checkpoints in the same order (Knoll, Rivelin Needle, Headstone, Pillar on the conduit and then the Lodge Moor Clock tower), but there were variations after the Needle, with the route back over the dam perhaps being a little faster than the track between the reservoirs and the A57. Phil Winskill was carrying a GPS and the plotted route is on the car share page.

As usual candle power and route knowledge had as big an impact on the times as running speed, and finding the knoll is much easier with a big pack.
