283 startersA pleasant Cross Country round the hills, vales, fields, and tracks of the Amber Valley. Similar event to the Grindleford Gallop, but not quite as exposed. Perfect race organisation with some of the biggest arrows I\'ve ever seen pointing the way which was very pleasing for a champion of red and white tape/mapless events like myself.
My usual pre race diet of Guiness and Pasta had to be replaced with Thai beer and Thai curry due to a family reunion, so I wasn\'t as competitive as I would have liked but very enjoyable non the less. Only two brown vests present, and mine only lasted half a mile, and would thoroughly recommend it for next year. Being run from a Rugby club ensured the post race refreshment kept me & Dr Clive from Totley very happy.
