With a timely break in the weather a small but eager field headed off into the heather looking for Wet Withens stone circle. The direct line seemed best with some good tracks on the ground. A good line across the valley was essential if you wanted to avoid the high bracken - Pete tried contouring along the water channel but regreted it later! The climb to the trig was long and the real runners started to move though. They say it\'s a poor man who can\'t win his own race. I should have been poor but for the graciousness of our visiting Sherpa. In this case the best man came second!
