18 startersAfter abortive attempts, Al Sealy at last won the Crookstone. Andy Jenkins should know his way to Edale Youth Hostel and kept the chasing pack away holding off \"the gaffer\" Jon Cant who was making a welcome reappearance to competition. Tony Keddie was also not far off the pace.

The new route is now well established giving plenty of route choices from Jubilee cabin to the trig (via the Youth Hostel). Only when there is a real call for a fast attack on the old route will we return.
