31 startersThe third running of the Boxing Day Bogtrot attracted a record field of 31 runners on a cold and windy day. The first half of the course was at least dry and took the runners to two previously un visited trig points via some rough but fast running. The fun started at the 3rd checkpoint where all entrants had to blow up a balloon. This proved so much fun that some people spent several minutes trying. On to checkpoint 5 and there was a straight choice between blowing up 2 more balloons or handing back their balloon and crawling through the stream culvert beneath Houndkirk Road.

Twelve hardy souls made the swim which was more fun but a bit slower than the blowjob.

On to check 6 and everyone had to follow a string course in the forest before finding the way out and back to the finish where a cup of hot wine was meant to be served up. By this time it was blowing a gale and the stove would not start. The wine was cold!
