Loxley International Mountain Marathon on Sun 18th Feb 2007

36 startersTom (Westgate) put a marker down with his run Saturday. Word got out that it could be done so I think that it inspired a few people. In total 8 people managed the full course even though Andy had to give us a sprint finish. The generally good weather of the day helped - it could have been very different. Skarratts Stone and Mickleden Pond seemed to be the most troublesome to find (and that was in clear weather). Everyone seemed to enjoy the day. The photographs I took are on the dark peak photo page and I hope that if anyone else took any picures they forward them on for inclusion.

LIMM 2008 is set to be a more orienteerig type course with punches and marked controls. There is a chance it could go back to its two day format with a night out if it can be arranged (proper bunks no tents but we may have to charge for the night and barrel of beer). Then a shorter day 2 with a few culverts or something!
