From the Odin mine an elite field and two dogs set off for Hollins Cross and the top of Rowland Cote Moor . Whether to go down and up , or round the top ? The runners who stayed up top thrived . Andy’s local knowledge saw him creep through the fields off Grindslow Knoll to Barber Booth , avoiding the massed gathering of farmers nearby . Up the flank of Lord’s Seat , Mam Tor trig and a swooping drop to finish .
Hopefully the same again another year , when there’s nothing on : any suggestions welcome for this course and others .I must remember the Mason’s Dog Oil for prizes .

12 startersThere are many steep hills around Edale ; all we need is someone to say "Go", no fuss, no expense , just set off , run and enjoy .Now that "events" can be publicised at short notice through the website , maybe we could have more "races" like this . I’ll look through the F.R.A.Calendar for another empty weekend .
