8 startersAn elite group ran the inaugural, and hopefully only, race from the Nag's Head, to Mam Nick, Pindale, Cheshire Cheese and back to Edale. Most chose wisely, turning right out of the village and getting the hills out of the way early. Coming the other way, up the Winnatts, did give the views of remembered days over Kinder. Peaceful cries of lambs, still alive. The rolling prizes worked well, supporting the local shop - I handed on two tins of soup to receive three cream eggs ! As has almost been written, " It's a poor man who can?t come last in his own race ". Dave Tait
