15 startersIt was a wet warm misty evening which I believe deterred a few as well as the opportunity to do a little local village race at Calver. The weather improved as we ran.

The course was  Birchin Clough car park; Oyster Cabin; Alport valley stream juction; North Grain cabin; Ashop Clough Ruined Cabin; Birchin Clough car park finish

The distance was about 6 miles.

The route was considerd too short by the whippets and too long by others, but most people seemed to find it OK for a midsummer evening race. Timekeeping was DIY

Prizegiving was at the Snake Inn. The Four Springs original will be run on either a Sat or Sun morning at a date to be announced.
