214 startersAlthough this isn't the hardest of the essential long Lakeland courses, it's still very hard work. On a marvellous clear day there were no problems getting through Hard Knott to Little Stand and the Three Shires stone, just the huge hill up Little Stand. The second part was thirsty, with no water in the heat. So the final sting up to Caw, then head down to the finishing field. With others at Jura, we had a strong turnout at the two events. Any chance of getting it all together and making a real effort at a major event - a line-up in depth at Wasdale?
